WTB: 944 8v header

So a manifold gasket just started leaking and I figured I might as well try to a gain a couple extra horsepower while doing the job. Does anyone have a used 8v header? Brand doesn't really matter.
Thanks

I have a set of the very late tubular stainless factory NA headers they have the updated heat shielding and double wall around the joints so they don't crank like the '86 -'87 early version of the tubular units.

They fit all 1983-1989 8 valve cars

$150 shipped for both pieces thanks pm me if interested

While we're on this subject, will the 8 valve headers from the 88's onward work on the 87 to replace the cast iron ones? If so, I'm going to be looking out for a set to put on mine when I start the refurb operation in the next few months..

Sorry to hijack the thread but I figured you all would know since you're wheeling and dealing a set..

Sorry it took me a week but here is the set I have from a '88 2.5 motor I parted last year. There not cracked and this is the latest and best rendition with better welding and heat shielding to make them last aong time from factory. Yes these fit 1983-1989 8 valve 944 engines all the exact same

The tubular units are WAY lighter than the cast ones. There's a 13lb difference per set. Both generations of stainless manifolds weigh the same at 7bs/ set. The cast ones are a solid 20 lbs /set!
As a builder of the 944 Spec class race cars, it's important for me to know the weights of early vs late parts because we can legally update/backdate parts.

The 1-4 cylinder manifold pictured directly above is the 85.5-86 first gen stainless steel unit. The 2-3 cyl piece almost never cracks, but these 1-4 pipes are almost ALWAYS cracked under or around the gusset. You can weld them and they WILL crack again. Recycle them. Better to go with the older bullet proof "cast iron" ones, or the 88 double-jacketed ones.
