FS: 951 Aftermarket street camshaft

Cam that I bought from John Manelis (vette951s) a few years ago when I bought a 968 shell from him. Was apparently made by a manufacture that made Milledges cams in the early 90's. Maybe Web Cam or Megacycle Cams? Stamped '3073' and 3-91 (date I'm assuming). Mileage unkown. Cam lobes look great, some wear on the bearing lobes.

Specs:
In/Ex centerline = 108.5░
Max. lift = .462
Intake duration = 236.77░ @ .040" / 46.80 BBDC, 9.92 ATDC
Exhaust Duration = 236.72░ @.040" / 10.16 BTDC, 47.18 ABDC
In/Ex duration @.006" lift = 272.2░

Small chip out of the nose of the cam at the keyway, but the cam is fine to run. See pic.

Pretty sure your intake and exhaust open/close specs need to be swapped. Intake specs are listed in exhaust. Also, looks like the bearing journals are pitted pretty badly from the photos.

Do you know what the powerband for this cam is supposed to be? Thanks, Jonathan

I don't know anything other than the specs. Thanks for the advice on the open/close specs, I'll take a look. I just copied/pasted from my email from when I bought it. Based on the lift/duration is why I called it a street cam since it compares to some of the other street offerings. I'll try and take some better pictures of the journals.

Took a closer look at the bearing journals and none of the markings are perceptible by finger or finger nail. The surface is still smooth, just discolored.

I don't know, you'd have to compare the specs listed to N/A cam specs and make your own interpretation. I haven't driven with this cam in any car, turbo or N/A so I can't make a personal opinion.

I just went to Milledge Performance and looked at his camshafts. He has stock lift in the area of .474. This cam lift is .462. I don't think this cam could do anymore than a stock cam. With the cracked Woodruff key Area, it would be almost impossible to use an offset key. You might try $150 at the most. Sorry to rain on your parade.

I see the logic. I'm not even confident in these specs either, I dug them out of an old email of what he thought they were. I had a better list of specs from when John had it measured, but the paper was lost when my document safe was stolen
I don't know why someone would make a cam the same or maybe even worse than stock if that stock lift number is true. Maybe I should find someone to re-measure it.

Regardless, price dropped.

Milledge makes stock regrinds, where he welds new metal on the lobes then grinds them down to stock specifications. I just had my cam out and that S with the circle around it symbol on your cam was on my 944 turbo cam.
