Great Guy & Great Parts with Great $'s!

Hi Josh...

I'll take the (1) comp. Fog Light... just send me the cost and the USPS - MO (Same as Cash) is in the mail... now I will only need the other side... if you list it in the pic's for sale... I already know it's in good shape and priced right.

What takes me 5 weeks to take apart ... takes u only 5 days... I know u have a full time job & heck I'm retired... do u ever sleep? Congrats.. to being signed off as a DE Instructor! Great prices here on... "Pelican- Porsche Knights", besides in over 6 - 7 years I have never bought (A) bad part off of Josh... and he has some of the best prices here on Pelican and on E-bay.

I have been restoring these 951's and S2's for about 13+ years now, And Josh will never let u down when it comes to fair and honest prices for good used parts prices.

Must be my age... due to me getting slower... I'll be 70 in September, and have never lost my love / respect for the best built, best handling, best looking water cooled 4 cylinder cars Porsche has ever built... in MHO! I do believe the tide is turning on these 944 model cars as the selling price is starting to creep back up everywhere in the USA, Canada & Europe...u can hardly find good used parts any more even with the ever decreasing supply of non-running & running 944's as Porsche continues to discontinue (MFG-ing) of OEM / NOS parts for them... these prices can only start to go up & up on these parts as their supply dwindles as the demand for these parts has started to out run their supply. Case in point: Ask yourself... why are the parts prices going up & up, while the selling price of non-running cars are going down and Mid-Lower mileage "Running Cars (944's,951' & S2's + 968's) cars are going up"!

Hoard... your hard to find parts now... even you too can weave... "Straw into Gold"!

Ron...
Cheers to Josh...

Best advice I can give ya'... "BUYERS"! "Buy" from Josh... these S2 parts he has FS will be gone in a... NY (NANO) - Minute"! I wish now that I would have never sold my second Porsche 85' 928S.... that I owned... what a major mistake that was.... $14,500 with 14K Miles on it's clock...???????? Just dumb me...? But... I just had to Buy my (Non running broken timming belt) - 1st 951 Turbo for $2K... in 2003!!!

I'm interested in the DME and the tool kit. Can you post a pic of the DME with part number?

Hey Ron - I'm going to stash that foglight away - figure I'll need it myself sooner rather than later

I'm keeping the tool kit for my S2 - part number on the DME is 944.618.124.05 and Bosch number is 0.261.200.458.

Hey Malcolm - good to hear from you! I've got a fellow in Texas that is supposed to come and get the hatch in a couple weeks.

Hey Brian - good to hear from you! My buddy Emanuel is going to use the motor to build something special for his 951.

How much for the plastic air tray that bolts under the engine? If all the mounting points are good and it's not cracked (like the extra one I have), I might take it. I need one for my 88 S I've been working on. It looks to be ok in the pics with it laying on the ground with the other parts.

You can buy those new from Sonnen for $75 - just an FYI They usually always have a little broken piece here or there and I don't think this one is an exception. I haven't cleaned it up yet to see. Would be asking $40 on it.

Don't worry about cleaning it up. I'll do that if it's in good shape. I'm not doing a Concours restoration on this car. LOL The PO must have tossed his as it wasn't with the car. I have another one but it only has 3 or 4 good mounting points. Give it an inspection and let me know.

Hey - when I cleaned this up a little bit a lot of mounting holes are broken - probably not that usable.

Updated the thread - removed the sold items and updated prices.

There is supposed to be a check headed my way for the complete hatch and spoiler. If that doesn't show up asking $650 and local pickup for the whole thing.

I'm holding onto the tool kit and jack for now. Here is a listing for the spare - I can do that $100 price if you pay me direct on paypal and we skip ebay. Shipping would be the same as you see on ebay though. 33lbs and about 24x24x12

Just sold it a couple days ago. All the 944 power steering racks are the same no matter what year. The different offsets are in the tie rods.

Josh, do you still have the fans? If you do, any idea if they work?

I'm operating on one fan right now, which gets to be fun in stop and go traffic...

Malcolm.
