When you press the center round notch on the lifters, what do they feel like? Are some hard as a brick and some you can press in with some resistance, but they do press in a little?

ok thanks. There is so much debate about how the hydraulic center round part is supposed to behave. Some guys say they should be super hard. That defeats the entire purpose of a hydraulic lifter. They have to have constant contact with the end of the valve. If they are rock hard and don't press in then they are basically flat followers. They should be able to press in, feeling resistance and then they should pop back out. Thanks, Kevin

I have confirmed that all lifters press in and pop back out immediately
