stalling right after start

I've got a mild but annoying problem with my 1985 S. It starts fine but then immediately stalls. If I give it a little bit of gas, it will keep running. After about 10-20 seconds, it idles fine at around 800 rpm. It has no other idle or stalling issues, just this. Before I take the shotgun approach and try testing every single sensor or valve that is part of the startup process, does this sound familiar to anyone?

For me it was the MAF sensor. Unplug it and see if it idles

I'll give it a try. That was low on my list of things to check, it was rebuilt by a previous owner.

? Does it run rich while at the low idle. I had this issue and the system put the car in "safe" mode. It was the MAF in the end.

Sounds like a bad Temp II sensor to me.

Bad MAF will allow the car to start and idle, but add fuel and it dies. This is just the opposite of that.

These symptoms are add fuel and it will keep running if I read correctly.
