Golden Egg in Bartonville
Saturday January 5, 2019 at 8 am For at least a couple of years, Andrew's restaurant in Bartonville was the home of our GTG breakfasts. Andrew's ended up closing and we spent a while meeting at the Dixie House on 183 in Euless. Highway construction ended up killing that restaurant for us, all the while wishing that Andrew's had never closed. Andrew's allowed some of the most epic tech sessions ever in the DFW area. An early breakfast, easy access to parts and knowledge and garage space(maybe 3 miles to 928sRus, 5 miles to 928Docs, 3 miles to the Webster's). Golden Egg has opened a franchise on FM407 in Bartonville, and we are on track for holding our January 5, 2019 Saturday morning breakfast there at 8 am. Our last one there, in December, seemed to be a good success: the food was good, came out quick, and we were accommodated as a group. Come join us if you can. You don't have to own or drive a 928 to the breakfast, you just need to enjoy the camaraderie of a group of folks committed to one of the greatest GT cars ever produced. Sorry I mis-titled this thread. I attempted to correct the title to no avail, but.....
I think we all had a really good time today at the breakfast. Somewhere around 22 people attended. Weather was perfect I thought. Simon had his new to him 86.5. A really nice car. And Chris was showing off his 81(?) Another really nice car. Lots and lots of serious 928 knowledge showed up (Roger, Sean, Sterling, Jim Mayzurk, Randy, Simon, Brad, Martin), but again I forgot to take pictures. Maybe someone took some and will post them. __________________
