'all leather' interior right?

Hello,
does anyone know if this 'all leather' interior is right?

(the speedometer etc pod has also leather)

this is a 1979 car

the guy that is selling me the car says it was an extra at the time but i couldn't find information that supports that

anyone?

cheers

Pascha -

Hey J - It may be difficult to determine if the interior was originally "All Leather" without a build sheet.

Other owners who are more familiar with the early 928 will probably chime in - but the 1978 - 1979 models I've seen all had a version of cloth interior called "Pascha". The front and rear seat centers and a portion of the door panels were a fabric pattern that drifted into different size small squares. If you look at the design too close it almost seems a bit - psychedelic.

Good Luck - Michael

Hey I recognize that interior

It was possible to get an all leather interior on the early cars (dash/console/seats). Many of them did have the pasha (like mine, above) with vinyl trim, and some were all vinyl. Others had cloth inserts with pinstripes, or a plaid combination, among other things. I think in all cases the pod itself was black covered vinyl, but I do not know for sure. I've never seen anything else as far as the pod goes.

I'd love to see pictures of factory leather covered pods from an early car

You may need to have some minimum number of posts, 5 or 10 before you can upload pictures.

Porsche offered many options to buyers, but its hard to imagine a full leather interior that is still intact from the factory.

I've also never seen/heard of factory leather instrument pods. The "full leather" option never included the pod to my knowledge.
