1983 928 camshaft position
Hello,
I am almost done doing the Timing Belt on the 1983 928 Porsche. I reinstalled the camshaft pulley and the tooth is not aligned as per the picture. Am I able to adjust the cam at this point by turning it to align as needed? Any risk at this level. Please note the main cam is locked. Thanks Last edited by hugo5; 08-07-2019 at 10:00 PM.. |

You can turn your cam without fear of damage if you use the large hexagonal washer under the 17mm bolt head holding the cam gear to turn it.
Your engine should be non-interference.
