What's this wire for and where does it go?
Three prongs goes behind the air filter box to the top of the bell housing. It's grey and looks like it's connected to a sensor on the top of the bell housing.

Blinker Fluid Reservoir -
Hey Gomez - When I was a kid my dad would tell me anytime I'd ask a question about a wire he didn't know what it did - "It goes to the Blinker Fluid Reservoir". He's passed away now but years later he'd still joking tell me the same thing...
![]() The round three pin connector you've found coming up from the bell housing was originally used by the Porsche garage as a stand-alone test for a Top Dead Center Reference point. Most owners have simply sealed it up or taped it closed, then zip tied it to something. The shielded "Green Signal Wire" coming out of the distributor and heading into the Ignition Control Unit provides the timing reference needed to fire the plugs and pulse the injectors. Good Luck - Michael
