DFW Breakfast GTG September 7, 2019

This upcoming first Saturday Breakfast will be at The Golden Egg in Bartonville September 7, 2019 at 8am!

The Golden Egg
2650 FM407
Bartonville, TX 76226

The weather will still be hot, so drive out and meet up with us. We should be done with breakfast before it gets too hot, so any discussions or questions not addressed before or during breakfast can be addressed in the parking lot afterward. There is no rain in the forecast for Saturday.

Last month we had 2 new to the group 928s that showed up. One was on a trailer, but the owner started it. The other new to the group 928 was driven in from Weatherford by Jonah, one of our younger owners. According to Jonah, the car is running much better now since he has been driving it this month.

We also had several folk show up that had not been in a while. It's always good to see everybody who can make it.

Join us whether you have a 928 running or not.

The people that comprise this group are what makes it so good. See you there!

I broke the camera lens on my phone and was unable to take pictures.

Jason took some pictures of the cars and posted them on RL.

Here they are:

Jonah, aren't you in picture #1? (nevermind, I know you were on the other side of the parking lot. Got my wires crossed for a minute)

BTW, your car did sound badass when you left the parking lot.

I know you are enjoying driving it.

Are you planning to come to Third Coast? You will drive it at Third Coast like you've never driven it before. My first time at Third Coast, my hair was standing on end during the first 15 minutes of our drive, and I was doing my imitation of Rebel Yells ("Wahoooooo"). I was scared ****less, then I got it figured out: these cars are awesome

wow - i count 11 cars there - since i've had this car on the road i think i've only seen 2 on the road here in denver - always going the other way - a blue late model and a white mid 80's - and i've seen 2 more in junk yards

There were actually 3 or 4 more to the left of the cars in picture #2. That's where Jonah's car was.

We probably have the largest monthly GTG of 928s around. I know it would be a heckuva drive for you, but join us anytime.

Thanks for the complement on how it sounds! I still think it is missing and I have a vibration above around 2k RPM that I was hoping was coming from the TT, but bearings didn't fix that.

I'll have to see about Third Coast. Not sure if i'll be able to go or not yet.

My first Third Coast was among the most fun times I ever had with my clothes on.
