Fuel Gauge Sending Unit -

Hey Luke - Are you having problems with the fuel gauge circuit or are you needing to replace the sending unit ? Most of them were a standard size. I'd read one time that there was an optional "over sized' or touring gas tank available in some countries. I assume that the one for these tanks would be different.

The sending unit can easily be repaired if not too rusty and the only problem is that the thin sliding wire loop has broken.

Good Luck - Michael

I cleaned the sending unit in my GT with a scotchbrite pad on the tube that the float slides on to clean the built-up debris off and make it smooth again. I was very careful to stay away from the wires to avoid damage there.

Reinstalled sender unit with a new gasket/seal and it works perfectly.
