Any interest in Plug and play VEMS ECU for 928?

Hey 928 folks!

I have been offering VEMS plug and play ECU's (via adapter or straight Motronic) for quite some time and was wondering if 928 crowd would be interested in this? 928 uses two ECU's (like 944 Turbo) and I have the connectors and running maps for 928 from previous years as wire in installs (few with coil-packs, one with VAG COP).

VEMS supports both 100-1 and 60-2 triggers found on 928, also knock sensors etc.

I don't know of anyone that isn't still playing with their aftermarket fuel injection even after years.

Are you offering wiring harness adapters or ?

I am offering full solution: VEMS ECU+adapter harness to connect it to factory LH+EZK connectors.

Why would you need to play with it? It just works, and very nicely.

Cost is ~1200 euros for VEMS ECU with working config, adapter for connecting ECU to LH+EZK connector, new Bosch LSU4 WBO2 sensor (dual WB is optional). Also it is possible to include direct ignition harness (wasted spark coilpacks recommended for 16v, VAG COP recommended for 32v models) for additional fee.

I have FB page too for Porsche pnp VEMS ECU's: www.facebook.com/vemsporsche

Here are kits I have made for 928's. One is for 84-86 euro 928 S (twin-dizzy) and other is for 928 GTS (also fits to S4 and GT).
I tuned euro S kit on my personal '84 928 S and it gave huge improvements in driveability (much smoother idle, transitions, throttle response) and also more power. Top end gaine around 14 hp but midrange torque difference was 321 rwNm vs 351 rwNm. Made dyno runs on both LH+EZF and VEMS on the same dyno on the same day.

Here is S kit installed (LH and EZF are still in place so I can easily swap between them on the dyno, now removed).
I used faster responding open element air temp sensor (direct replacement for stock one) for both runs.

Will this work for a 1986.5 S3 928 automatic?

Here's video of how it drives with my S2 automatic, MUCH better than with stock ECU's.

I apologize in advance as I'm new to 928s and not familiar with all the abbreviations. Your ECU is a replacement for the 2 factory ECUs? And it's plug and play?

How does it attach to the body, as all your pics are with it laying on the floor?

Yes, it replaces two factory ECU's. You can secure it any way you like, mine is on the floor because stock ECU's were still in place (for switching between two on the dyno).
Once you remove original ECU's just use bolt holes in VEMS casing and secure it where stock ones were.

Hi. I am just putting my Euro 928S 16V twin dizzy back together. Purchased as a non runner. Just completed intake refresh just need to do timing belt and WP etc. These have sparked my interest for sure. Especially as I was about to purchase a new MAF. Could be an upgrade early next year. Hopefully they are still in supply.

This is very cool. I’m going to touch base with my mechanic on this.
