auto gear change
Hi guys I wonder if anyone would have pics of the internals of an automatic gear shift components, mine fell apart years ago and i just have the stem as a push button for changes to rev, neutral and 123etc I seem to remember a roller in the works.
I have the machinery to build a new setup before I sell but I can't remember the components I will be making two as my second car is in the same condition bloody porsche I realise I may be pushing it up hill abit as most yank cars are manual I am a kiwi living in NZ. Thanks guys for any help. |

Do you have a copy of the WSMs? There are exploded drawings there of the AT.

Got WSM but no details in there.
It's a t handled shift with push button on side button actuates a spring pin allowing you to shift the lever, from memory there is a roller that is worked by pushing the button have everything but the roller assembly will make one if I can get a look at one. It's amazing what you can make with a good machine shop currently making a door side runner that goes across the center of the door skin won't tell you what I'm making it out of but can't be any worse than the original, $400 NZ is a bit on the high side, car only cost me 5k |
