I am attempting to remove the lower airbox on a 1983 EURO CIS 928. The outer two bolts, simple. The centre bolt has me confounded.
When pressing on the bolt, it is found to be spring loaded and an allen key is required. The issue is that whether depressed and turned or just turning, the bolt does not seem to release the air box. No clamp to the CIS air meter can be seen. the box is held firmly in place from the centre bolt. Is there a trick to this bolt or box removal. While it seems a simple issue, it has work on the car stopped. Any help and insight is appreciated. |

Do not turn the alan bolt with the spring on it - that is your idle adjustment screw, and you'll have a heck of a time getting that reset right. The center screw you need to remove is the bolt on the top rear of the plenum itself. Look for that and remove it.

Thanks Ed As for the enrichment, that will take some undoing. |

yeah, that's a tougher one. That screw should be turned only in 1/4 turn increments at most. I'm guessing you turned it pretty good. Good luck, just play with it until you get it right again.
