Yes, the wiring harness for both the LH-Jetronic and the engine wiring harness are seperate. What problem do you have?

Ahh, that's a good thing for me!
I am bying a 928-engine for use in my Volvo 240 (hehe), and if the wiring harness is not seperate, i have to build my own harness. The owner was not happy about cutting in the main-harness. This is great! Do you know if parts from Mercedes's V8 can be used on the 928 engine? I only need to use the oilpan and gearbox from MB. |

No the oil pan, and everything else apart from some fuel injection parts, is different from the Mercedes. Bolting the MB trans to the 928 engine will be a problem as you will need to make an adaptor as the 928 trans is in the back of the car, whereas the MB is in the normal position.
You will still have to adapt both harnesses to the Volvo system. Apart from having the only Volvo in the world with a 928 engine in it, installing a Chevy V8 is easier.
