928 s4 heater

hi,
i'm the happy owner of a 928 s4 1990.
i have a problem with the heater :

i never get it hot : the heater valve behind the engine is ok .
the 2 heater pipes are hot.
i sent water in the radiator and it's not obstructed

without the a/C i get half heated air but not hot . What can it be ?

thanks.

The heater valve can look good, appear to operate correctly on the outside and be total FUBAR inside . Remove the heater valve and check it while off the engine. Chances are it is not fully opening correctly.

So I'm guessing that you get very little air flow, Heater or A/C?
