Cool Fuel Injection Porblem

I havae a low milage 928S, was off the road for 18 months and ran very well. Now the car starts and ticks over but seems to fuel pressure problems and wont rev cleanly above 2000rpm. new Fuel pump, all parts of fuel system cleaned well but still low on fuel pressure. The fuel has good pressure to the injection unit. Any help appreciated

I had the tank removed and cleaned, the injection unit cleaned, new filters but seems to have low pressure although there is good pressure at the injection head

How can you have a fuel pressure problem with good pressuer at the injector? You cannot gain pressure if it is low coming from the pump. What are your symptoms?

The symptoms were, car starts and ticks over but will not go over 2500rpm, good pressure at injection head but low fuel at injectors, the problem was a faulty fuel accumulator which was not maintaining the pressure. Its was fixed yesterday. Apparently the fuel was just flowing in a circle back to the tank as the valve in the accumulator had failed so there was no pressure on the return circuit which gave us very little pressure at the injectors

No big buck fortunately. I bypassed the fuel injection relay so I could check the pressure being delivered without having to run the engine and the ful pump kept making the same tone, normally it used to change after a couple of second, in fact you could hear the fuel returning to the tank all the time, then I traced it through to the accumulator which when removed appears to do nothing, so much so that it has no resistance to fuel passing through it.
