There's a 1989 928 S4 for sale where I work. 156K, looks to be in decent shape. The For Sale sign states that "it doesn't leak much"....yeah, I thought that was an odd thing to say. They're asking 13K.
Is this a little high or what? KBB says 11K for one in good shape. What are the usual wear points (like the timing belt on the 944)....etc? ------------------ Marc '86 944 NA |

The December 2000 issue of excellence mag puts the 1989 at 13731 for poor condition with a high of just under 21000. That was 9 months ago ( I would knock off at least another thousand). Really hard to determine the real value until you find out what is leaking! Check to see what the guy has for maintenance records. Alot of people can afford to buy Porsches but few maintain them properly. Unfortunately the 928 is an expensive car to maintain. The camdrive belts if not properly maintained can cause expensive repairs. Have the car checked out and take it from there. Its a really nice car to drive! Good Luck, Let us know.
