Dagwood, Is that a Wiessach edition(sp?)? Gold is one of my favorites for the 928.

Bowtie, Damn, I'll bet that car gets noticed. More details please. You may find some "purists" who frown on such a thing, but I can certaily appreciate the work that goes into a hotrod like that.

More details

Thanks 928ram, I appreciate it alot when an p-car owner approves of the car. This is actually one of 2 that we have converted. This is an 82 Euro S, I have no idea what the story was with the original motor (did it go bad or not). I was trying to find one that had a bad motor to do the conversion and ended up finding this in Houston. The conversion was 90% done, he had 45K in receipts from him and the previous owner, its an auto and he included a rebuilt 5 speed, torque tube, shift linkage, stick shift, and clutch pedal, an s-4 wing and the car had 18" turbo twist. I picked it up for 6k. After getting the motor running right the black paint started to fall off the car (no idea why). So the winter of 03-04 we had the blower put on, a complete rebuild (everything below the blower is new including the block). The motor puts out 545 hp, 542 ft. lbs. of torque. Almost scary when you put the pedal a 1/4 of the way down, haven't floored it yet. We blew through a tranny pretty fast, so we got a new tranny had limited slip installed and got a beefed up torque converter. Now I can actually get the power to the ground.

The other car, which I will also post picks on, is a sleeper, its an 87 S-4, chevy 383 with 410 hp 440 ft.lbs torque. We just had it converted (it did have a bad s-4 motor) this winter, and pick it up from paint on Monday (high gloss Jet black). We haven't been able to drive it too much because of icy roads, but we hope to test it soon.

Any other questions just let me know.

Porsche Crest

Ram,
It's not a Wiessach edition, although it has similar color combo. From what I understand the Wiessach edition wasn't produced in 80. The wheels were factory ordered with opel metallic paint to match the body though. My original intention was to buy it and immediately update the wheels ....then after hearing the comments (mostly negative) I decided to keep it all stock and restore it. Well, I've had the car for 2 years and although I did spend 1 year overseas without the car, I'm still trying to bring it back to good mechanical condition. I've done the belts/waterpump myself. paid for some other work while I was away. next is the trans/torque tube, then I can get started!! By the way, I love the 5 speed!!!
Anybody else have pics?? This is a pretty slow portion of the BB.

Here is mine. For 8 months out of the year this is pretty much my daily driver. Luckily, I drive about 100 miles a day so I get alot of highway time. I also started autocrossing it and post better times in this then my 911!

Still sexy, even rainbow-striped!

Where's that pic from? Looks like a ROW spec car.
