Brake Press Light flashing
Just bought a 82 928 and the brake press, the OXS light, and the button above the radio started flashing and will not reset. The brakes were overhauled 100 miles ago by the previous owner (he paid a shop). Any thoughts? I was given the workshop manuals but not alot of info. thanks

Light above the radio (!) will flash in conjuction with any other fault lights.
On an '82, the OSX is for the emissions system and should be mileage triggered. There should be a small "box", outboard of the pass. seat under a small carpeted cover. Somewhere on that control is a reset. How are the brakes working? If they're OK, it's more likely that the warning switch has failed or gotten crudded up from the rebuild. I *believe* that switch is on the master cylinder??? |

Thanks for the OSX reset location- that worked. I have ordered a new brake pressure switch. I think the switch is located just under the master cylinder. Any tips on replacing it? or could someone recommend a manual that explains the "how to".
