944 dial wheels
Will any dial wheels from a 944 fit on a '79 928 or do I have to buy ones meant to fit? I don't know if I can just swap them or if they need spacers or even different size tires. Thx!

I'm pretty sure all 944 wheels are narrower and the wrong offset, some of the phone dials came in 15" also. There are some wheels that were fitted to the turbo models that will fit, but I think these were all flats and command a price premium.
Aside from a few dreamers on e-bay, you can usually find a set of 928 specific phone dials for reasonable $$$ with a little waiting/searching. What do you have on there now that you are trying to replace? Straight up trade is possible as alot of folks don't like the phone dials. |

You might post over at the 944 forum and see if someone there can give you a run-down of sizes/offsets that were used.
