order of wires on key/ignition switch
 

In an effort to fix my ignition (the key wouldnt turn...), i took off the wires on the back of it, and the wires came out of order and i dont know what order they go back in. I know this sounds kind of vague. If somebody can tell me the order by color, i'd appreciate it. I know which wires are the headlamps, accessories, starter, etc...just dont know what order they go in.

while removing the "wiring" did you seperate the ignition switch from the cylinder mechanism or did you yank the wires out of the back of the switch plate?

there are 3 components to the ignition setup
cylinder (where you physically put the key)
ignition switch (the intermediate piece w/ male and female plugs)
ignition wire harness (the bundle of wires with a plug switch)
