Automatic Tranny ??
Hey guys=refugee from the 911 list. Looking at a 1986 with the following description of a tranny problem-
"Automatic transmission work (Reverse 3rd/4th work fine 1st and 2nd intermittent due to faulty modulator valve)" Anyone want to give a shadetree diagnosis and a ballpark $$ figure to repair? TIA

where are you located? who did the diagnosis?
the 4spd AT is pretty bulletproof, good sources for more accurate diagnosis are the guys on Rennlist or David Lloyd at Musante Motorsports in CT, Jim Bailey at 928 International and Dave Roberts at 928 Specialists
