Torque shaft ?? Drive shaft ??? Help
Well lucky me was heading to the Canadian border today with a 928 I aquired in Seattle, after a painfull ordeal of customs and trip insurance etc etc etc I made it halfway.
A couple of times when I let out the clutch it sort of stuck at the top of release. Then from a stop I went to go and....No Go... lol. Long story short, I have been told its the torque shaft, broke off at the tranny ?? Have any of you replaced these and would be able to give me a ballpark figure on time ??? Its at a transmission shop and they said they would do it but I havnt got a price yet. Any input would be appreciated...Thanks

Is it the torque tube? To replace the factory time is 11 hours. The drive shaft is probably about $2000. Hope this helps.

I havnt got a price or a for sure diagnostic. I sure hope your wrong lol. If your right I will have a 928 ready to part..Thanks for your reply

used tt can be had for $4-500, total time to replace is about 6-8 hrs IF the mechanic has done this before, otherwise you are paying him "education" time
