Silicone Intake boots 16v engines

For those of you who have 16 valve engines, there are other ways to take care of those lame intake boots the factory put on your 928.

The OEM boots are flimsy rubber pieces, subject to swelling, splitting, and getting soaked with fuel and oil.

I have installed sillicone hoses on my shark, eliminating the possiblilty of vacuum leaks and all of the problems associated with the OEM boots.

If you are interested, I have kits in the making. They will come with enough hoses to do your intakes for the last time.

Pictures available upon request at

Thanks--RHJames

I sent an email ....... but you rejected it. It was spam?

What temps will this material handle? Do you have a set up for a 81 Porsche 928 with 4.5 engine. How much for the intack tubes and shipping to 53589?

Do you have any images at mounting points? Vent hole area and etc? Howe close is the diameter compared to stock?

The intake boot kits are for the boots only, not the entire intake system in the picture.

The material will handle the under hood temps of a 928, in fact I use the same material on my heavy haul Peterbilt---the fuel heater application has over 750,000 miles without any issues and the temps thru the hoses is near 240F degrees. A far cry from the under hood temps in a 928.

The boot (inside) diameter is the same as the OEM boots, and are much more rigid. No swelling, no oil absorption, no cracking or splitting.

We are going to make these kits available on Ebay in the near future. Cost will be about the same as the OEM boots, plus shipping.

If you are also interested in the powder coated intake tubes, we are in negotiations with a local shop to do various 928 engine parts (intakes, cam towers, etc.) Please let us know if we can help with dressing up your shark engine.

If you are interested in one of these kits, send an e-mail or post on this forum. If you get a "not allowed sender" notification from my e-mail, I will still get it and get back to you asap.

Thanks---rhjames
