whoa! whats wrong?
ok. ive heard about the electrical gremlins of 928s. but now its happenening and i dont know what to do. first the rear wiper started being intermittent not it stopped, then just last night the inner driving fog lights (brights) quit working all together. i can handle the rear wiper for now. but i cant stand the bug eyes unless i really need them. i want my bright fog lamps back for in town night / early morning driving. guidence?

Check the relay. Check to see that power is getting to the actual light sockets.
There is no shortcutting electrical system diagnosis, you just have to do it. If it helps you any once in a while one of my foglights go out, and i just tap the lens and it comes right back on. Good luck man. |
thanks, i just checked the # 30 and #33 fuses. both are good. is the relay your refering to xiii?

Go to 928 specialists website and there is a relay and fuse diagram for every model year 928 for your viewing pleasure. :)

Don't forget the grounds, the plethora of chassis grounds on a 928 have caused many an electrical gremlin.

Again, have you done your "Walley Plumley" yearly electrical maintenance?
Take apart every ground and hot electrical connnection from front to back and clean the contacts. Then start troubleshooting your electrical issues. regards---rhjames |
