Unique Crystal-Green 85 928 S manual on ebay right now - cheap!
I'm surprised nobody has bid on this one, yet. I've seen the car and have gotten rides in it, and it looked and felt real nice. The description is quite accurate, from how I remember the car.

Nicole,
nice options--wrong color. rclsm in north Texas can't find a buyer for his 300hp 5-spd Euro. Why? Wrong color? Weird paint scheme? Price? It's not about rare colors or rare options, or I'd buy a dozen of these. 928's are still bottom dollar-no resale hotrods from a company that doesn't care about making a ride that will stay together. They cost an arm and leg new, depreciate to nothing in short order, and then the replacement parts/labor are extremely high. Disclaimer: I personally don't believe a word of this. That's why I have one.....instead of a matching numbers HEMI powered Plymouth Superbird. (which I certainly can't afford) the 'Bird's were $4k new in '70, and now you can't touch one for under 6 figures. If it's got a HEMI and in good condition, it'll cost you over $300K. My 928 was $50K new in '80, was bought by me for less than $4K last year. Just an excersize in cars (markets)...... My 928 is much, much more technologically advanced (than any muscle car in the 60's thru 80's), but ain't worth anymore than the market will bear. I could put $40K in restoring it, and it would still only be worth $5K. Go figure..... The one you reference is no different. Might bring more money if it was a 86.5, due to the 32V and four piston Brembo's and such. Otherwise, add a grand for the torque tube issue, another grand to sort out the A/C (maybe, maybe not---but once you dig into electrics and HVAC, it runs up the tab fast.....) and you're looking at a low scale S4. Somebody put a truck load of money in it, only to sell it a few thousand mile down the road? That scares me away right there..... ![]() And yes, mine has your Euro clear lenses on it......(not in this pic) regards---rhjames ![]()

I remember looking at the auction. Its a high mileage car with some known problems, so I didn't pay much attention to it. Looking closer it "sounds like" the PO really went over the car, and thats good, but doesn't sound like the current owner has fixed anything new, and vibration in the driveline can be REAL pricey.
I read the first line of the "repairs", new valves, resurface pistons, etc. kind of screams timing belt failure, and that makes me think prior to that it must not have been PMed very well. Maybe it just skipped off the radar of everybody else too? $5k as the opening bid didn't help it any either.

opening bid is too high
personally I love the color scheme (duh, it's green) I was half tempted to grab this just to have spare grey-green interior parts, which are NLA and I'm tired of dyeing everything I swap out
