Ebay Euro picts

This camera obeys me about as well as a pet cat, but here are some picts of the Euro 928 on ebay I am looking at for parts, judge for yourself.

Sellers description.
"It has BLACK LEATHER Seats and they all appear to be in decent condition, although a good detail will make a huge difference. The exterior of the car is RED, and is faded. It has a few door dings and scratches."

What Magnum said......

At least you are looking at possibilities(?)

The Euro engine parts are the thing to be had, but in your other post (you finally wrote about your supposed plan) you stated approximate build costs of $5 to $7 grand.

OK, then you quote some guy's HP figures, not nearly as much as you're looking for, so why bother.

(Although John Venegar's Euro hybrid ---no blowers---puts just over 500 HP and torque on the dyno, maybe you should see is figures???? Naw, gave similar advice to you already----you haven't taken it yet......)

Did you even read (or see the eBay ad) for the "crystal" green '85 928??

Surely you did, which causes me to put forth the question:

Why didn't you buy it? It didn't even sell for the starting bid of $5 G's......Didn't even get a bid, as I recall.

Unusual color, 32V motor, 5-speed, all for less than what you're going to have in a pieced together mess that you constantly worry about getting past the smog cops??????

Now I'm beating my head against the wall 'cause I didn't have the cash to buy it either-----and it appeared to make a decent daily driver at that.

I'm really done with this madness now.....

Whats the point in changing the short block and doing the machine work for 300 cc, when I have a complete motor that needs no shipping?

Much of the point in doing the hybrid is due to the cost of shipping the short block on a Euro S motor, and how cheap 32v short blocks are and easy to find.

Seems like the crystal green car has a good home with Shark Skin. I looked at the listing the day it was listed on ebay, and did not add it to my watch list. When Nicole posted a thread last week I looked at it again, its a car for a mechanic, not me. Does seem kind of nuts I didn't want it for $5k, and I am bidding away on a bad repaint does not run car instead, but its the one with parts I want.

You spent over half the $$$ of the crystal green 928, just to get the Euro engine parts out of the junker.......

The 32V in the green one is rated at 288hp (and just recently had a lot of engine work to be top notch).

You claim your buddy's Euro hybrid only does 275hp.

You want a 928 that puts out hp over a (any) stock 32V that won't infringe on smog cops, but are unwilling to use any additional power adders.

Holy crap.

Totally un-beeeelieve-able.
