Insurance auctions, good or bad?
From time to time I check a couple insurance auction sites. Sometimes prices look crazy high, other times pretty good. This week I see five 928's spread out over the US, none look very rebuildable except for maybe an 83, the rest are 86+ with R or L front damage. None that I have any personal interest in.
http://ridesafely.com/minventory.asp?make=PORSCHE&model=928®ion=&status=&AuctionDate=&description=SEARCH%20FOR%20PORSCHE%20928 This specific site is not bidding directly on the insurance auction, but making offers to dealers to bid on your behalf. Looks a bit messy, not much obligation on the dealer, but seems like they move a very large number of wrecks. Anybody have experience with one of these places or know of a better one open to the public?
