I haven't heard this line before, ebay
Snoopin on ebay and noticed this ad, seller pulls one out of his "hat" I haven't heard before, 182k on the clock is KM, so its really only 120k miles. Looks like a normal US speedo to me.

Nope - this is a speedo in km/h You can see the red area between 50 and 60kmk/h, and the numbers go much higher than you'd ever see them go on an mph speedo.

Thanks Nicole, don't know how I missed top speed. I saw the red between 50 and 60 and it just seemed to fit US where its at 55, and VIN looked in the right range too.
I wonder how being a Canada car is going to effect registration in some states, kind of a gamble maybe.

US spec car---Euro/ROW speedo
it's that simple. had you looked at all of the photo's and their details, you would have easily seen it. Seller did state, further into the ad: 120,000 miles---in fact, he did it in three different places, admitting that the speedo is in KPH, converting to approximately 120K miles---consistent with the age of this particular vehicle.....the ad is accurate and is not fraudulent (as you may be inferring). Mmm....we've had this discussion before---read (in this case, look) before posting comments. ----- ![]()

What the dealer didn't spill was that its a Canada car, not a US car, and we have had that discussion before as well. Could be easy registration, could be DMV spits out a non US VIN and time and money will be required.
Just curious, whats the carfax going to look like on this car, Km or miles, what the odometer says or corrected.

I believe it is probably a car originally exported to Canada. The VIN is a North American number and on the instrument panel, the fuel information is in both French and English. Also, all Canadian speedo's show KMH hi-lited with MPH showing up as a secondary speed (so us Canucks don't get caught speeding when we visit the U.S.!). The driver's side door sticker should have something on it to the effect of "Meets Canada Safety Standards" which are basically the same as those in the U.S.
