Operate horn and tach jumps!

Now the electrical! When I honk the horn on my '82 928, the tach jumps 1500 to 2000 rpm. I haven't pulled the pod yet but suspect it may be dirty/corroded contacts on the instrument panel circuit board? Anyone else experience this?

Start with all the ground points, work up the food chain, use a guide (like Wally's) some bits are delicate on the cluster.

First post I made on this forum, which brand of corrosion preventative do people prefer. Some kind of dielectric grease at the minimum, but I haven't decided if I want to use anything fancy like Stabilant or Deoxit.
