What a bad week for some nice 928's

This is a totally suck week for some nice 928's, Jimmys car, Sterling's 6.4L, and at least two other renn listers. Just posted there a guy takes his 28k 88 S4 into a shop for a PA state inspection and that night the owner gets drunk and crashes it during a joyride. All totalled its the worst week I've heard of for 928's.

Right lawyer and its how does he like his new auto repair business. If the owner doesn't settle quickly, and completely and the info goes public he is out of business anyway.

Silver lining is that we do have a decent insurance system otherwise people would run around killing each other over this kind of stuff.

Really I wouldn't waste any time grabbing up one of the nice ones, all those other people will be very much in the market for top cars when the money comes in.

I'm probably going to cut up a 78 and an 83 Euro as I can use the bits. Depressed prices also keep the prices of major spare parts down so the cars become more affordable to drive. Also, since I love the cars it makes fleet enlargement less costly. Yeah, a little profit here and there is nice, but the reason I like these cars isn't for profit. Remember what happened to the Duesenburgs and other awesome machinery as the great wore on and feeding the monsters was just too expensive. Yes, clssic v12 Packards and others were worthless for a period of time before folks decided that they had some value.

Mostly what we see are the effects of a very small market. I am not seeing the price of parts going down, just that only a handful of parts are in constant demand. Its really sick how much of a 928 is left when 928 Intl sends them to the crusher.

Also just because some parts are hard to sell for a decent price, doesn't mean they are cheap to buy when you need one.

I'm still looking for some parts from an 85/86; manual flywheel, LH brain and maybe harness, EZK, 5 spd with LSD, bilstein shocks, maybe more.
