Rendezvous 2022 - Pittsburgh

This year's Rendezvous will take place during the annual Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP).

The PVGP takes place in scenic Schenley Park in the heart of Pittsburgh. This race event is one of 2 vintage races in the world that occurs on public streets, the other being in Monaco. It is also a significant charity fundraiser – proceeds are donated through the PVGP charities. It is a perfect event at which to hold a Rendezvous, especially since the Marque of the Year this year is Porsche! The Master of Ceremony for the Grand Prix this year is Ray Shaffer, Porsche Classic Market Development Manager at PCNA.

Here are the highlights of the activities to enjoy:

Friday, July 22:


Tour Rally - this starts the weekend of festivities, with a countryside tour though W PA, including lakes, twisties and Amish country. It is approximately a 3 hour tour that starts and ends at the place for the Welcome Party (Welcome Party location TBD);
Typically, driver's meeting at 12:45 pm and wheels up at 1 pm. Final details will be announced.

Weekend kick-off Party – our local Club (ARPCA) will host the out of town clubs and Porsche people travelling to participate in the PVGP activities. Depending on where the Club chooses as the gathering place, we may participate with them. We may select our own gathering place for after the Tour. More to follow, but plan for Friday evening, starting at 5 pm to ?


Saturday, July 23:

All registrants:

Your Porsche in the International Car Show on the Golf Course at Schenley Park – over 3000 cars on display (Porsche is the PVGP Marque for 2022)
Cool Chinese Auction items
PVGP package
Cold beverages all day
Watch the Vintage Racing Time Trails (come see many classic and vintage Porsches and other great marques participating in the races throughout Schenley Park.)

PVGP prices are as follows (this does not include the separate Rendezvous registration; there will be a separate cost for that):

Premium –

• SATURDAY registration for 1 car and TWO people: $150 (includes parking, door prizes, lunch and soft beverages)


• SUNDAY registration for 1 car and TWO people: $150 (includes parking, door prizes, lunch and soft beverages)


• Both days together registration for 1 car and TWO people: $275 (includes parking, door prizes, lunch each day and soft beverages)


• Additional meal ticket for either day: $20 per person (must be premium registered to purchase extra lunch tickets)

Non-Premium -

• SATURDAY registration for 1 car and TWO people: $75 (includes parking, PVGP package and soft beverages)


• SUNDAY registration for 1 car and TWO people: $75 (includes parking, PVGP package and soft beverages)


• Both days together registration for 1 car and TWO people: $150 (includes parking, PVGP package and soft beverages)


· Note – there are no lunch tickets for non-premium; there are many places throughout the grounds to get lunch, however.

As you can see, this is a significant car event, and tons of fun. Come early, or come just for the weekend. The official Rendezvous part is Friday – Sunday, July 22 – 24.
