What I found with Your Help!!

Well all with all of your help I have just about gone through all of the front of the car. This is what I found and I would like to thank everybody that took time to help!!

1. Rotor and Cap OLD.....plugs not too bad.
2. Belt lose on the cooling fan
3. Heater Valve not holding Vac.
4. Vac. line from Vac. advance to Throttle body off and just hanging there. I believe this one also operated the fuel pressure regulators.
5. O2 sensor unplugged....do not know why yet since I have not had it out of the garage, but they left the two small wires plugged in and unplugged the big one???
6 Cig lighter working (need my Escort r/d in this car) fuse

Next weekend we are changing the tranny fluid and filter and chasing down a Clunk when she shifts??

Thanks to all once again.

Brian

Fluid and filter fix a lot of minor issues.
My cigarette lighter doesn't seem to fit anything I have tried to plug into it, too short I think. You may need to hardwire the escort or at least an extra cable.
Everybody loves the MightVac, and apparently needs such a device to troubleshoot. Replacing all my vacuum lines with silicone hose is on my list as soon as I decide who to buy hose from. Carl has a kit on ebay for the 928 for about $33, but it doesn't look like enough hose to me.

Your PO sounds like a real gem.

Garage
wonderful news!

suggestion:

don't bother with the Escort, instant-on (or laser) will get you every time........if you must, Phazar is the trick unit, or at least one of the high end BEL units.

others will argue this, but we know........

Our area is pretty poor...... The 8500 has been excellent for all of our trips from Ohio to Hatteras and little trips. Does anything under a thousand really work with laser. My problem is portability we switch from my Wife's 525i to my Suburban ( ss 454 project) for trips so a hard wired unit does not work....Now we have this stuff ironed out.........going to do some touring in a Porsche!!!

Nice looking car Brian.

www.tixnix.com, Valentine V1, and I think Escort 850? I work hard at driving insanely within legal limits, so don't use one.

love that color Brian, your ride height needs to be reset, or you took the pic just after you got it back on the ground

928 is sensitive to ride height, many like to "mess" with it, lowering it from stock is generally a bad idea, but there is a range that seems OK.

If the car gets jacked up with the load removed from the wheels, it takes more than 10 miles of driving to get the suspension settled again. So if you have done it recently, just wait for it to settle.

BTW put the model and year into in your info, I keep forgetting what it is. Looking for a link to setting ride height, but its basically measured from a couple of suspension points to the ground and adjusted with threaded collar on the shocks.
