When forums are not fun anymore
 

during this latest blast between several of us.....it has become readily apparent that this forum had become pretty useless.

no longer is it a reasonable discussion of how to make your 928 better, or helping to fix a problem that many may have......but it is now personal attacks on everyone who bothers to either offer technical expertise, or just an experienced solution for the issue at hand, or just does something "different" to their 928.

I have serious doubts that Wayne and Co. started this enterprise expecting this ranting to follow, so I'm really done with it.

I had arguments like this when I was 12 years old and knew nothing about hotrods or Porsches......36 years later the same childish rants are taking place from the other side of the debate. Name calling, bigotry, and general bad manners abound on this forum......and I had hoped for better behavior from Porsche owners. I am truly disappointed.:(

My advice to "normal" people is not to post, take a look at subjects of interest, and PM or email people directly.

The social nature of a mostly unmoderated forum tends to be 5th grade mixed with a pack of wild dogs.

Unfortunately its like TV, things don't have to be very good when access is very easy by flipping a switch in your own home, for an audience to develop that likes it.

The closest I've ever been to an 18 wheeler is standing next one in parking lot while performing a drug bust. As for the Porsche, it belongs to a friend of mine who's now back in Tennessee. Nice car, wish I had one.....but there's a fishing boat calling my name.

I live just right down the street from you and have been watching your stuff for years. Funny stuff......(my colleagues and I have been quite amused watching you tote your guns in and out). I can't come visit, though, as it would be an ethics violation on my part, and would jeopardize my retirement. Sorry....

My 25 years in the government is just about done, so I'll be moving this summer to sunny Florida with the rest of the snowbirds......

And you "feel" threatened....now that is funny!

So in your training as an "undercover agent for the FBI" or whatever, they must've taught you to read minds. I'm guessing that's how you know what I'm convinced of.
