Warning Lights when car first started - 928S

I appologize to all - I told you I would have a lot of questions.

New car to me. When I first turn on the ignition, sometimes it throws all warning lights on. If I turn the car off, wait a sec, then turn it back on, all the warning lights go off.

What would cause the computer to throw all the warning lights on? Is this a ground issue or something else going on?

self test should light all lights then turn them off, except brake light which goes off when you first step on it

The problem I'm having is that they are staying on after driving it. I have to shut it down (sometimes twice) to get them to clear.

Someone may have a specific answer for you, but I would just start at the battery and clean every ground point in the car.

are they all staying on or just 1 or 2?

They will all stay on.

Sometimes it's just one light that stays on and can be cleared by hitting the red button on the center console. But some times it's all lights that are on. Only by turning off the car, then turning it back on that I can get it to reset.

Planning on doing the ground checks as soon as I get it back from having the ball joints done. Thanks for the advice.

if ground cleaning doesn't help swap out the central warning brain under the dead pedal

Thank you Rixter. It's currently getting new ball joints (at the shop) so that will be one of the first things I tackle as soon as I get it back. That, and a freon recharge - 90+ degree weather is killing me.
