well, she wasn't exactly beautiful but it ran so I had to see if it could be saved..

$700..which is why i couldn't pass it up. Of course, I have already spent more than that in parts, and I haven't even started on the "expensive" items!

I can appreciate the glossy buffed perfect cars, but the 928 is still one hell of a car with rough paint and torn seats. I was in a shop one day killing time waiting for the owner to come back, and looking at an early 928 on the rack. Instead of spending money on paint, it had Kumho Victors and other make it go parts. It might not get the valet to park it out front, but wouldn't be out of place in any normal parking lot. The Secret is to get the car that suits your purpose, and not somebody elses.
OTOH its real easy to go off the deep end of the Porsche pool. I think I am going to buy some Porsche factory shop rags, just a few, no idea yet what I might use them for.

Thank you for saving another Porsche from the chop shop. At that price, the parts are worth way more than the car. I hate the folks that purchase cars simply to part them out at a profit. Congrats and enjoy.

Get it safe to drive, then go to a parts party with some other Pnuts and see how much easier it is to work on when you have pizza and beer and somebody who has done it once before handy.

well good victories today...got the passenger window working (had to refurb motor) and the left turn signals (had to create a jumper on the circuit board)..on tap next week (waiting on parts) brakes, door locks, door handle, belts
