previous '89 GT of mine for sale on Ebay...highly recommended!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1989GT-Guards-Red-on-Black-clean-and-original_W0QQitemZ300139428829QQihZ020QQcategoryZ6 432QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I sold this car about a year ago or less to the current owner who is now selling it on Ebay for a little less than what he actually paid me for it. I naturally e-mailed him to ask why so soon, and he said he was buying a new house and one of his 928's had to go, so he choose the one that'll bring more money vs. his '87 instead. However, he did say that it's still just as good as i was the day I sold it to him.

Anyway, I just wanted to vouch of the cars authenticity for anyone that is interested in this particular '89 GT, that it is the absolute best '89 GT I've ever owned. I spent nearly a year taking this car and doing everything possible to make it as close to concours, if not actually true concours, sparing no expense whatsoever along the way.

It was a great car to begin with, but needed some refreshing to bring it up to showroom condition. I had the intake and valve covers removed and powdercoated to look like new, and they do. During that process, all of the vacuum lines and whatever else is down in that V once the intake was off was replaced just because they were already there. The hood insulation was replaced. I replaced all of the radiator and rear quarter window decals with new ones. I replaced the front belly pan, had any and all oil leaks fixed, had the new timing belt that had yet to be retensioned, retensioned, had the entire A.C. system repaired as it didn't work at all, both front and rear, both of which will literally freeze you out of the car now! I purchased the missing tools with the OEM originals, naturally. I also had to purchase the factory Porsche air compressor as it was missing, surprise, surprise, along with the lug wrench. I put brand new factory floor mats in the car just days before selling it, had the original Club Sport wheels polished as they were in pretty bad shape. I think the PO I bought it from had used acidic wheel cleaner on those anodized wheels, and well, we all know what happens when we do that! I installed brand new Toyo Proxes days before selling the car, and installed an actual OEM Blaupunkt stereo, as his same original Blaupunkt was inop. I replaced the lining inside of the cassette box with OEM padding, and installed Jager console overlays over the power window switches, sunroof and rear hatch bottons. They line up exact, and look better than new. I replaced the rear hatch motor and both front and rear hatch and hood shocks and had all of the brakes replaced. The car is literally like a brand new GT!

I'm sure I did more stuff to make it as perfect as possible, but can't recall everything. Anyway, one major point I wanted to make about this particular GT is concerning the way that it runs and drives. Most all of the 928's I've ever bought and sold had under 30,000 miles on them, but this one had 118,000 on it when I bought it. However, and ironically I must add, this car drives soooo much better than all of the other GT's I've owned with 1/4 of it's mileage. I always just assumed that all 928's drove with a kinda heavy feeling, tooks bumps rather hard, and well, kinda had a truck-like feeling to them. However, this '89 GT drives like a dream! It's of course still quick as hell, but the way in which it get's there is so much more pleasant. I mean it's so much smoother, takes bumps with suh ease, and even the engine sounds better. It's an extremely nice car, despite the mileage. So if you are contemplating it, don't let those miles fool you, or turn you off at all. It only resembles a 120,000 mile car on the odometer, not certainly not in any other way.

It did have a small accident to the rear cover at some point, thus the GTS rear bumper cover replacement. According to the PO, it was every minor, but I couldn't verify this. However, everything else the PO said about the car, did turn out to be the truth, so I would have to agree that it probably was just that, minor. This is a 120,000 mile car, and accidents do happen, that's why their called accidents. In addition, I'd like to add that nearly 90% of the 20,000 mile 928's I look at have had paintwork and/or bodywork at some point, whether it's on Carfax or not. So don't believe that most all of those sweet looking, low mileage 928's out there have not had paintwork, because it's simply not true. I've looked at way to many not to this is is fact. Oh, and with a paintmeter.

Anyway, I would highly recommend this GT to anyone looking for a great deal, on a great GT, at a very reasonable price for the ultimate GT, the '89!

all the best, Todd

Always the first to reply, always with something negative, always using one quote out of a million to support your story. Your broke, your boring and your angry. This thread is intended for someone with real money that might actually be interested in this car. I know everything about it, so it could be useful.

Your so predictable, always bringing in your gang to make more crediblility for your side, of which mean nothing, thus starting your usual pigpile of ABSOLUTELY EVERY thread I start about one of the cars I've owned in which you could never afford. You have gotta be the absolute loneliest, angry, jealous little man I've ever known.

For example, this thread could and should be considered constructive. I devulged all of the information about this GT I previously owned, including your overabused rear end damage, but you still just can't resist staying out of my threads, can you? And it's ALWAYS, something negative......always. You even made that flawless '91 white on blue GT with only 28,000 miles on it sound like a bad car. What an idiot! Someone is probably sliting their own wrists right now because they somehow mangaged to be mistakingly pursuaded by a Low Milwer stalker into believing that was a bad car. Jesus, that car was awsome! Waaaay outta your league.

This thread is constructive, while your comments are your usual insulting and negative type of comments. Why do you always respond to my threads anyway? You know the reason as well as I do, Tim.

Ever since you PM'd me nearly a year ago on Rennlist telling me that your reason for being so hard on me was probably out of simple jealousy, but that you'd never admit it on the forum, was more likely exactly the reason you follow me everywhere, including Pelican! Damn, I just wish I still had my membership on Rennlist just so I could go back and dig up that old PM to show it to everyone, even though I promised you at the time I never would, I certainly have changed my mind now!

From now on, simply stay out of my threads. You never, ever have one bit of anything good to add to my threads, you jealous little freak! And like your mom should have told you growing up, if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.

Hey, I've got a great idea, even though I'm sure you've already informed your friends Charley B and others to make sure they turn this positive thread into a twisted game of something evil I've done once again. Your old news and your extremely predictable.

Stay out of my threads. If you don't, you'll only lend credibility to the fact that your jealousy of me has simply taken over again. Turd!

Todd

Can someone ban this guy? The only threads he ever posts is "for sale" ads. He did it at Rennlist and continued to do it, even after being asked repeatedly not to. Then he was banned. It seems that he's following the same pattern here.

On second thought, maybe Todd should get a prize. Since he came here, the daily post count has gone up in the 928 forum. Dangle should get a prize too. This place was a ghost town before they arrived. ( this is not an attack on Danglerb, I am just making a point. Luv ya Mike

Why do some of you people insist on thinking I'm selling these damn cars! When I'm personally selling a car, I'll take the advice of Noah and put it in the damn classifieds section, and leave it completely off of the forum, thank you. Don't be easily fooled by psychotics like tdelarm for Gods sake. This car is for sale by someone else. Can you not see that? I'm simply providing authenticity for a car that I once owned, nothing more. It could prove very productive for someone actually looking for this car, since I do know I very well. There's a big difference unless your blinded by personal reasons or motivation! All of you Rennlisters are so transparent, it's laughable!

My advice to my Rennlist following, to make your reasons sound more legitimate, stop saying things like "like I did on Rennlist". That shows that you apparentely know everything about me and my history on Rennlist. Try and make yourself sound more non-biased by not mentioning that, and say something more realisitc like, "can someone please ban this guy, he's providing to much valueable information". That would be more believeable and realistic!

Todd

Great advice coming from a Rennlister with a personal agenda and six whole posts here on Pelican. Transparent again! You guys have really gotta do better than this! It's actually very insulting to both you and Rennlist.

My thread about a car I once owned and provided information about to any real potential buyers has once again been tuned into a typical Rennlist pigpiling, bashing, character attacking psychotic thread, courtesy of the jealous haters at Rennlist!

Does anyone actually have anything constructicve to add?

Todd

Unbelievable, and on top of that, usually posts some of the longest, bandwidth-wasting posts.

I was just watching "O Brother, Where Art Thou", in one scene George Clooney accuses his two cohorts of being dumber than a sack of hammers.

Now, what made me think of that?

Jimmy123, you bore me as well. By the way, what kind of 928 do you own? And if you don't mind, what year is it?

Let Me Help....Something Constructive...

For Sale Forum has some rules.... allow me to QUOTE the MODERATOR:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Effective February 1st, 2006, replies to [for sale] threads can only be posted by the original poster."

There you go... seller gets to post... NO online posting ALLOWED! PM's, email and phone calls ONLY!

Sounds like a win-win! Unless . . . . .

Ok, just for the hell of it, I'll allow myself to be trolled.

Until a few months ago, I owned a '91, which was crunched by a truck in Oregon. Shortly after that, I bought an '88 with TBF. Pulled that motor, and installed the 6.8L stroker I bought from Walt.

Now what genius?

Are you really that brain dead or just that arrogant! And you'll notice, or at least the others will, the lacking question mark.

Ya, you caught me, guilty as charged I'm jealous as hell that you sell used cars for a living. What a joke

It's not the used car selling your jealous of little Timmy, its' the fact that they're one's you simply can't afford that bothers you so much. C-A-N Y-O-U U-N-D-E-R-S-T-A-N-D T-H-A-T, E-I-N-S-T-E-I-N?

Plus, Pelican membership is up 10 fold since I've arrived. Just doing my part to help the community. And now, I'll be shutting this thread down on account of the personal attacks by the same old usual boring player haters. Don't hate the player, hate the game!

Word!

Uh, wha...HUH? WHAT??

When I sold my F-car a while back, I could have bought 4-5 GTSs.

Shouldn't have chewed on all those lead paint chips when you were a kid, low miler.

Thank you jcb928 for some real words of reason. I've always just posted these cars, that are not even mine, simply to be nice. And one's like this GT, for example, I post because of my own personal history on the car. It always get's turned into something nasty by the same 5 or 6 people that are so vocal about hating me, that they make themselves appear to be a much larger group than they really are. It's always the same people, and no matter what the topic, always have something negative to say about me. How on earth this thread could have ever gotten turned into something so hatefilled is beyond normal reasoning.

Anyway, I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to delete the entire thread because it's caused nothing but personal bashing on me, but there's no "delete" option available for me to delete it with. So therefore, I'm just going to assume this thread has been deleted since those same 6 people continually ruin all of my potentially productive threads.

So let's just all pretend this thread has been deleted and move on. Don't feel you have to get any last words in, because it will just be more negative, anger filled posts. It's closed. That's it. To bad a thread about a car I no longer own, but could completely vouch for turned into a "for sale" ad by me, because that certainly is not he case here, or the intended purpose either. But honestly, I think everyone here is smart enough to have already known that................

Todd

Ok, because you asked.......Because he's a weenie.

No matter his spin, he provides absolutely nothing to anyone who is seriously considering buying a 928. Potential buyers know the sources/resources to use when shopping for a car. Or does anyone really believe that potential 928 buyers just sit on their hands, thinking to themselves, wow, I sure hope low miler posts about a (fee free) 928 for sale, otherwise I won't be able to find one on my own?

Not.

He's also been told not to do this by a moderator, which he naturally ignores. His self-serving postings provide nothing, but a cause for discord on whichever forum he posts.

jimmy123,

Didn't I say that this thread was closed? Apparentely, I'm not the only one that ignores what he only chooses to ignore. And yes, jcb928 is right. And please tell me where the "self serving" part comes in? I'd really love to actually hear that answered for once. Please, I beg of you! Where am I making anything off of these cars that someone other than me now owns?

This isn't my car anymore, nor was the white '91 GT, but I did once own them both and was simply going to provide any details about those cars for anyone that might have had an actual interest in them. Where did this "self serving" crap ever come into play anyway? Oh, I know, from someone trying to make their point seem more valid, when in actuality, it wasn't true at all. Self serving, that's absolutely rediculous! I wasn't making one cent from either one of these posts, but somehow they were both convienentely turned into "cars for sale", threads by Low Miler, to support a totally incorrect angle perpetuated by the notorious 7!

I personally, would definately like to hear the words directly from the person who once actually owned the car, over that of a simple PPI. There's plenty of things that I know, and probably do, about that and any other car I ONCE OWNED, BUT AM NOT CURRENTELY SELLING, that most PPI's would NOT find. But you have chosen to follow those haters with total disregard for what might actually make more sense and thus you've simply become one of the 6, now make that 7 pigpilers.

So basically what your saying is that it makes absolutely NO sense at all to hear what one of the actual PO's of that particular car has to say about it, and that it's totally a waste of time to the whole forum. However, you'd prefer the advice of PPI, and only that, over anything the PO has to say. I would simply call that stupid. In fact, it reminds me of a movie I once saw entitled, "O, Brother Where Art Thou", starring George Clooney in which he calls his two cohorts, stupid. Have you ever seen it? Well, you should!

You say I have nothing constructive to contribute to the forum, but I think previous personal ownership of a particular car that is currentely for sale at the time is very relevant and very constructive. I think there are alot of others that would agree with that statement as well, but choose not to get involved in these rediculously twisted into negative thread discussions for fear of ending up on the notorious 7's bashing list.

If you can't see that the information I can provide is relevant, then your just blinded by the same hate and anger as those that followed me here from Rennlist. Stop trying to turn these informative posts of mine into my personal "cars for sale" threads. Their not, and if I do ever decide to post one of my own personal cars for sale, IT WILL BE IN THE CARS FOR SALE SECTION, thank you.

Open your eye's and see the truth. And quite pigpiling just to be one of the guys. There not real men anyway!

Todd

No anger, no hate, no envy, no jealousy, just this ongoing irritation.

Closed thread? Sorry, you're not the boss around here. Sure wish the boss would stop by though....

Go away.
