cool info....yes as I begin to modify my 84 I am trying to soak up all of the knowledge I can. I would like to trade my clutch fan for a electric but I am going to need an Alt. upgrade first.

I have a Trans Am in the garage now I am restoring for a fellow in Loveland Oh. Not too far from ya. When it gets done I want to start playing with mine!!

Yes, Loveland is like 30 minutes from me. I used to date a girl up there, she lived just across from the VW dealer.

Are these running through the original air inlets?
or are the inlet holes enlarged?

I was thinking to feed my Andy Keel SC through something like this, understanding that I'd need a larger filter... but series ganging these K&N units should be doable.

Yes, they run through the stock inlets, but the snouts only fit the S4 inlets, not the older style inlets. I believe the best term would be "divide and conquer".

What you would do would be to pick up on the aft side of the radiator with some piping and re-join into one large pipe to feed your Supercharger. Dual 2.75" piping aft of the radiator would do a good job. There are a lot of old wives tales about pumping losses with bends...most of them are hearsay, the pumping losses due to bends are not near what people claim them to be.

I like the visual impact of this system on the car as well. It looks clean and finished once installed. I'll be working up some cost numbers today and then put some pricing up here...hopefully be the end of the night tonight.

My position is that a positive displacement pump sucks as well as it blows, so I think it will feed through one of these..... right hand, please!;)

BTW, what is the pipe diameter of the inlet/outlet?

Herr-Kuhn 08-26-2007 07:57 AM

Okay...here are the numbers:

Dual air intake snout with round RU-2410 filters. Good to 815 CFM (about 500 HP): $425.00
Dual air intake snout with oval RU-1500 filters. Good to 1025CFM (about 650 HP): $625.00

Shipping is not included in the above prices.

These fit S4 style fan shroud, 5-spd cars only (unless you reloacte your trans cooler). Inlet is 2.75" diameter. Contact me if you are interested in making a hybrid, one-side, etc. I'm not making any claims on performance on a one sided unit.
