17 inch 3 piece OZ wheels, 5 spoke chrome, similiar to Cup 2's
PICTURES HAVE JUST BEEN ADDED IN THE 5TH POST DOWN BELOW!
I've just purchased an '88 S4 5 speed with 29K on it and the car currentely has a perfect set of 17 inch OZ wheels on it. He's the original owner and took the original dish wheels off in '88 and replaced them with these OZ's. Personally, I think they look fantastic! The PO's thinking was way ahead of his time because they look almost identical to the Cup 2's of the '93 generation. Now obviously, I'll be returning this showroom car to it's original state and thus reinstalling those ugly dish wheels, so I'll be wanting to sell these OZ's. Would anyone be interested in them? I don't even know if OZ wheels are a good brand or not, but they certainly look great! They're completely chrome, have 5 spokes the same diameter as the Cup 2's and have all those little rivets around the edges. No scuffs, pitting or curb damage. They'll come complete with a full set of BF Goodrich tires with plenty of good tread remaining. However, I'll definately be replacing the tires on the original dish wheels seeing as how they're still the original OEM tires from 1988! ![]() Now, I'll be picking the car up in Burbank, CA on the 6th of November, so if your interested in these wheels and live in that area, you could actually see them in person. Let me know by phone at 317-506-3022 or by personal e-mail me at partysover@sbcglobal.net. I have a couple of pictures of the car with the wheels on it and one close-up of one of the wheels, but they're on 35mm pictures. Yes, the couple is in their 70's and don't know how to use a digital camera, much less download and send pictures. However, I could probably scan the pics and then forward them to anyone interested. In fact, if I can get my scanner to work, I'll post pics in this thread. We'll see if I can do that. Todd ![]()

I think that I know the ones you are talking about.
I was going to look for twists, but being almost winter here, I haven't done much. I may be interested...my only issue would be shipping I think (I'm in Canada). How much would you be asking? Would you be interested in my original 16's on my 83S? PM at mscherer@rogers.com Thanks, M.

For the two above posters, my scanner isn't working, so I'm going to Kinkos here in just a little bit to scan and then send the pictures to my e-mail address and yours. As far as the price goes, I hate to say I have absolutely NO idea what they're worth?
![]() ![]() What are they really worth to you, I guess. Once you have all the pics I have of them, send me an offer if your genuinely interested in them. I'll be sending them from L.A., so if your doing calculations for shipping, do it from there. I would estimate the general weight somewhere around 50 lbs. per wheel. Todd ![]()

I finally got pictures up........what a nightmare that turned out to be!
After spending nearly a full day trying to extract the pictures from the original 35MM pics that were sent to me of the car, I'm happy to announce that I was finally able to post some blurry pictures of the wheels. Broken scanner at home, defective program eror on the Kinkos CD I scanned and transfered the pictures too, and so on. Anyway, here they are! They've been scanned from a friends scanner, so thh quality is less than perfect, but you can get an idea that they're totally awsome looking wheels, especially on a 928!
I can promise you this, the car is absolutely, positively flawless in every respect. Therefore, you can assume these wheels are as well. If need be, I'll retake some pictures of the wheels when I get there. I'll be arriving Nov. 6th and returning Nov. 9th. If your interested in purchasing these wheels, you'll need to do so between those dates. Shipping will be from L.A. and I would presume the wheels will weigh appox. 50 lbs. each. Enjoy the pictures at the bottom of this text. And yes, the car is for sale as well! 29K actual miles, original car, no paintwork ever, true original owner, original wheels, cargo cover, cargo net, every single tool, spare tire, spare tire pump, both belly pans, original stereo included (currentely an Alpine in-dash CD), all service work performed at Porsche, California car since new and has never left the state. Priced realistically at just $26,900. And yes, I do have some additional blurry pictures of the car as well! LOL! Oh, also comes with a brand new, still in the wrapper, complete set of factory Porsche floormats with red embroidered "Porsche" logo. Suweeeet! ![]() Todd......only the best! ![]() ![]() ![]()
