Will twists off a 2000 911 or 2001 Boxster fit on my 83 US 928?
I think they are 17 x 8 1/2, but no idea on any other details, except I think they are OEM and two from each car.

Great question! I am wondering the same thing for my 1988 S4. The set of twists I am looking at are 17x9 in the rear with 255/40/17 tires and 17x7.5 in the front with 205/50/17 tires. Apparently they came off a 2002-2003 Carrera 4. Hopefully we'll find out soon!

can't imagine a Carrera 4 with a 205 on the front....but who knows what folks are doing these days.
as John says.....minimum 225 series tire on front (or rear for that matter), preferably a 245/50/17 on a 7.5 wheel. remember, 928's are heavy cars with 50/50 weight distribution--- inlike the Carrera which is usually much lighter in the front...... you should also let us know what the offsets are---et (XX) mm. ---Russ

Is offset easy to measure, like lay a straight edge across the rim and measure down to the hub?
I'm also going to see if the guy can give me the Porsche part number off the back, which is good to check away to make sure its not a clone wheel. |
