A stunning '91 S4 is going to be sold....

I thought I'd post here. I'm moving to California, and part of this move will entail selling my 928. Here is a Rennlist thread with some discussion and pics.....

http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=402458

She is about as good as they come in ALL aspects. A lot of 928 owners have seen her and been around her, and their consensus is the same as mine. Ebay Auction starts tomorrow (Sunday 1/13) at 6:00 PST. I believe this link will be good then:

The 911 is making the trip to Calif. I really need to cut back to one play car for now. I'm hoping I'll end up with a 3 car garage, but I'm not sure of that, which is a lot of the reason for the sale.

None of my cars are outdoor cars, so off-street parking is out of the question.

Dude, Have you driven in California? I'm not talking the LA freeway. I'm talking the hills and canyons! Sheeze, north, central, or Socal. They all rule! That car was built to be there. Sorry to hear you feel you need to sell it.

edit: nevermind I just noticed you used to live there...

Get a garage with a high roof and put in a lift, $2k and instant parking spot. Leave the commuter car in the driveway.

If you pick a boonie enough spot between OC and SD, a big garage may not be that hard to find.

BTW any thoughts on something closer to a track, like Willow Springs or California Speedway?

We are trying to find a way to get Ed to forget that he has this car. I really tried to get him drunk today and get him to hand over the keys and title. For some reason he wouldn't take an even trade. He only let me take off with a work bench.

For those that don't know this car, it is show room perfect. One of those that Todd would sell. As I'm sure some have heard, it is as close to what you would get out of the factory as you can get. Nothing wrong with it.

This is the kind of car that Todd would sell, except Todd doesn't have it. Everything is there and perfect. Us DFW guys are trying to find a way to keep it in the stable but as we are loosing one of our own, we think this car is going to go also.

Rog100 (Roger Tyson) has done a full PPI on it, the only thing that can be found incorrect is the dust in the passenger seat. The timing belt was done less than a year ago.......... Seriously, this car is perfect.

Geeez Ed......

I'd say keep the car----screw moving to California........

hope somebody is making you very, very rich with relocating out there.

the house you live in now, would cost you 10 times what you paid in DFW, and it would be on a slice of ground barely big enough to piss on.......

(over-rated housing prices, high gas prices, high food prices, smog cops, nightmare traffic, state income tax, drought, fires, pestilence.......WRONG TIME TO SELL A HOUSE.......I could go on---)

Sure, there are some neat things in California (I can't think of anything I can't live without), but have you thought about this for longer than two minutes....?

What is the net gain by moving there, as opposed to staying in DFW?

Ahh, but the right time to buy in Calif. The fact we would be back in Calif after my business ran its course was the plan from day one. As to the net gain? Keeping from getting a divorce and losing HALF of my money.

I still have my membership in the San Diego Yacht Club. Something tells me a boat will be in my future.

Yipes, talking about a boat is the trick to get your SO to tell you to go buy an old Porsche.

I can only imagine what a membership in a yacht club does.

I think we have all tried to talk Ed into keeping this beauty, and I think he is making the adult decision.

A very nice show quality car for a reasonable price, this car should go to a real enthusiast. Tell your friends.

A MUCH smaller boat that I've had in the past...I'll leave the big stuff to my friends. Been there, done that, as they say.

Eggsactly. That is one reason why I kept my membership, it is a pricey endeavour when you hit 50.

We all have an obligation to say what he already knows, its a unique car that won't be duplicated easily, thats done, time to try and make sure it goes to a good home.

Welcome back to SoCal, its also unique and won't be duplicated easily.

No AARP discount at the yacht club, what an outrage.

When it comes down to it, and this is the way I have to look at it, it is just a car. And while unique, there will be others, but probably not for similar money. There is someone right now selling a Ferrari 250 GTO, and THAT is what I'd call unique, so my scenario pales by comparison.

first half wouldn't be a problem, second would be. then again, it might be worth the second to get rid of the first......

(just kidding......much luck with your next "move"!!!)

The phone dials will cost extra, but only 4 lug nuts per wheel so not much work to get them off.

West of the 405, I try not to go past Alpine Village or TRW swap meet.
