public retraction of previously misleading statements directed at Chuck Z

Without getting into any of the ugly details regarding a particularly disturbing situation in my life over the last 2-3 years, during that course, I made some rather slanderous and downright misleading statements and comments that were as far from the truth as possible, most of which were directed at Chuck Z.

The misleading, untruthful, and slanderous statements I made were in direct regards to my having labled Chuck Z a shill bidder on two of his auctions for 928's he ran on Ebay. One was the infamous 1000 something mile '78 green froggy 928 and the other was a '95 pearl white 928 GTS he was selling for a friend from his local area. I acted as if I knew he was bidding up on his on cars, when in fact, I had absolutely nothing to back those statements up with. For that, I am embarrassed and ashamed at my actions.

Not only would Chuck Z never entertain the notion of doing something so low, but in fact, he's one of the most honest, true 928 enthusiasts, with nothing but total integrity and honorable service to the 928 community. He alone is more responsible than any other member of the 928 community for putting 928's on the map and in the end, will probably be the man you can thank for getting some proud 928 owner the very first million dollars for a 928 sold! ;)

Regardless of whether or not that actually ever happens (though I personally think it will someday! ;)), I just wanted to apologize to Chuck Z for ever having made those remarks and certainly hope no one lost any respect or ever questioned Chuck's integrity based on anything I said about him, though I'm sure no one did. Anyway, all apologies Chuck. I'm truly sorry, as I was in a very, very bad place at that time as your now aware via the PM I sent you.

Everything is great for me again and my life is back on track! My wife is 26 weeks pregnant with my very first child ever! But I'm only 43, so I'm still a kid myself. We found out about three weeks ago it's a a lil' girl (believe it or not, just what we both wanted!), and had our first 3 and 4 D ultrasound yesterday. It was truly the most incredible experience of my life and gave me a real sense of exactly what's really important in life. I know this is totally off topic, but I just couldn't help but tell everyone! Ecvery 928 I've ever owned pales in comparison.......BY FAR!

Sorry Chuck. I just hope you have it in your heart to forgive me for any damage I may have caused you and your reputation. Though I doubt anyone believed me anyway, it was still waaaay out of line.

Todd, the true test of a man's metal is when everything is on the line and things look worst. I respect what you've done and said above, in my mind that took a big man to do that and means a great deal to me personally. I sincerely hope all will be well with you long in to the future and you guys have a happy healthy little baby girl.

Apology accepted. Thank you.

Best, Chuck

more should be able to do this very same thing occasionally......

it's not a bad thing to be humble, back off of an argument or disagreement, and just get on with one's life.

Glad you guys might have a beer together-

Seems to be a lot of LIBEL going on these days. Let's hope people can give it a rest.
