Hey guys! I know the picture is just a long line of 944's, but hey, we would absolutely love it if some 928's showed up, and I think we already have a couple local 928's interested in going!

Dammit I have to work!

-I get my FAA medical done in Orlando, and a trip up there [210 miles] for Porsche night would work out really well!

Tsk....bunch of 944's and 951's lined up: Someone needs to bring a 928 with a good exhaust so that you folks can hear what a REAL engine sounds like...

You guys are slaking on the 928 representation!!

There were a few 928's at the shop, but nobody showed up with one for the meet

I appreciate you guys inviting us 928'ers. I fully intended to go but I thought it was on Sat. I ended up working late on Fri. and by the time I realized that the meet was Fri. it was too late to attend anyway.

Well, probably a lot of 928s in central Fla., but only a few are active with our 928 functions around the state. Having it on a Saturday instead of a Friday night makes all the difference. No way can I make it down in time from Jax on a Friday night. Sat. would be a different story. Could probably get some 928s from a bit further away to make it then.

Yeah we were actually considering the next meet to be on a Saturday. I'll let you guys know when I find out.

We have kicked around the idea of having a 928 meet at Ole Town since they have such a car vased theme. I would love to have 944's , 951's and any other P-car enthusiasts come akong as well. The more the merrier.

Is anyone up for a breakfast fun run? Maybe a monthly get together on a weekend morning? I've seen some others do it and it seems like a fun idea.

We tried to get the Ole Towne GTG last year several times. When Brad Smith was down from Ohio last April we had about 10 928s gather that day for lunch & dinner in Kissimmee. But only a whopping three 928s would even go over to Ole Towne that Sat. evening. Now if some way, some how, it could be on a Friday night, they even would allow our 928s to enter the driving cruise(or at least I know the older ones). On Sat., its only the really old cars that are allowed in the display & cruise, no 928s qualify. Sat. would be easier for us to make it down, but Friday would be more interactive at Ole Towne.

The monthly breakfast fun run sounds cool too. If it was monthly, perhaps you could rotate it around the O-town area. For me, the difference between up near the Altamonte Springs side of Orlando to down around Kissimmee(Ole Towne) is about an hour. So two hours one way is occaisionally possible, but a six hour round trip just to eat an egg mcmuffin & chat about our Pcars would be harder for me to pull off.
