adjustable fuel press. regulators
I am contemplating replacing my press. regulators.... with stock bosch or aftermarket adjustables. Are adjustable regulators really that good??...... I have a freeflow exhaust w/ headers, and a mass air sensor conversion,( w/ slit second PSC ) on an 84 928s.

I don't see where you would get any benefit from an aftermarket adjustable, but I don't know the tuning limits of the PSC. Whats your A/F ratio like now?

Unless you need extra fuel flow there is no benefit. With the PSC1 you should be able to tune around things. Does your PSC1 have the altitude compensation circuit in tact or has it been disarmed?

PSC has alt. compensation. A/F ratio is good.... i would rather get the cheaper stock bosch reg, so your advice answers that question.... I discovered a bit of gas when pulling vacuum line off one regulator. And have been having intermittent surging problems...and rough starts. I believe i have a clogged in tank filter...i have part on the way, and plan to flush out the tank. But this regulator could be causing a problem too.

If you want an adjustable one, I have one I will sell you. $125.00 (it has never been used), but you'll need the pressure damper from a later model car and then have to block off the 2nd return line to the tank...let me know if you want it. I really think the stock unit will do the job though.
Watch the alt comp...the early PSC1s gave too much alt comp...ran terribly rich. I have a test unit version I have yet to install which gives less alt comp. I could not drive my car at 4,500 ft altitude without increasing the signal wire voltage. In Florida you have constant altitude...but barometric pressure changes may still casue some issues. Thanks, JK
