Why not just upgrade to the jolly greens (42 lbers) instead of 36 lbers?

What kind of rwhp do you expect from the mid mount turbo?

I'm shooting for 500 or so and will be shark tuning with the Jolly Greens.

The 42lb greens will not work with the ST on the 86.5 per John Speake.

The 36lb is going to be as big as you can go with using the ST and will provide enough to get you above 500.

I have 30's in my 928S already otherwise I'd be tempted. My kit goes on in 2 weeks when my race car is at the roll cage fabricator....gives me 2-3 weeks for paint & cage to play with my car...which has been sitting lonely on my lift for the last month & a half.

I'm running the same turbocharger as you Abby, so it'll be interesting to see how the cars compare at pump-gas boost ranges if you're bored enough to dyno that low.

There is a way to use the 42# injectors. Tim put them in on my Supershark and used his MAF restrictor donut to trick the Sharktuner into using the Jolly Greens. Works great!!

PS: with 12 lbs of boost I'm at max duty cycle on the 42# injectors at stock S3 fuel pressure.

What's the 411 on that?

It is a machined metal restrictor that limits the flow of air through the MAF by a known amount. Tim Murphy has them give him a call if you want to go with the 42# injectors, as that appears to be the only way we (S3 owners) can get them to work and still have a usable idle.

Is he actually selling them as a MAF modification part?

Are you running the stock compression ratio on the motor?

Thanks for the info!

Since I was made project manager for Shane's build. I'll tackle what I can

At this time, that was not the plan. They are part of his Stage 3 kits.
That may change in the future, I'll let Tim handle that.

100% stock 86.5 motor except for the hardware needed for the supercharger.
Fuel system is also stock, except for the 42lb injectors.

It was amazing how fast / easy it was to tune Shane's car on the dyno (load bearing dyno BTW, IMO the only way to propery tune). Shane's car left Green Bay with a modest tune knowing once Louie & Porken get there hands on it, they would have something to play with. - ok, actually we errored on the side of caution.

With the performance of the Todd designed / built IC, there is no doubt there is more to be gained with his car. The charge temp rising less than 10 degrees under full boost (repeated runs) is nothing short of awesome.

With the development of Shane's car I'm now converting my 81 to LH/EZF from a EuroS I've had on the shelf for a while. Once Todd adds the proper timing ring to my flywheel, it's just a matter of wiring
I'm also having Todd duplicate Shane's IC for my car since with a little tweeking, it will also fit my 16V.

The "before" dyno was run on a Friday afternoon. Less than 24 hours later we were back with the Stage 1 installed. Needless to say the guys at the shop were very impressed.

I thought your ECU was modified by that 911 place? What changed with that plan since it now sounds like shark tuning is in your future?
Sounds like you are on the right track. The SharkTuner is nothing short of amazing!

Yep what Hacker Said...Dude you guys ROCK!!! They basically had a week and a half to take my car from stock to stage 3 and they pulled it off with fantastic results!!!! I found the car back in November and after quite a bit of thought finally bought it after the New Year, then turned it over to Page Auto for repairs that showed up on the PPI list. That took forever! mostly due to the AC which after all was said and done just about everything was replaced.
