Manufacture date for early 1978 928
I have an early 928 VIN 9288200072 and I would like to find out the date of manufacture. The manufacture decal on the drivers door pillar is not stamped with a date. They must have started putting dates on earlier.

was most likely built in Aug or Sept '77, only a Certificate of Authenticity would confirm it... unfortunately records from those early cars are not in an electronic database
where are you located? I need to add you to my database, and please register the car www.928registry.org oh yeah... we need pics

Thanks for the date information. I have a Certificate of Authenticity and it says No Information Available for my car. I have also been looking at your database and plan to take some pictures and register my car - you should see the information within a week. The car is in Alberta Canada.
