OFF TOPIC POST (Car Accident)

Thanks to Russ (rhjames) I have pics available of my car accident today (he was not to far down the road) I am the one driving the Van. The truck pulled into my lane less than a foot in front of me, almost sideways, smashing the front of my Company van. Thankfully no one was hurt, but it still SUCKS , oh well.

One of the guys from the 914world.com board went to the scene after it was cleared and picked up a section of engine hose left from that wreck. Possibly heater hose. He put it up on ebay as a joke. The auction was shut down before it ended.

Is that what would be considered a crush zone? LOL

Not to make light of what could have been a grim situation but if you ask me the crash greatly improved the look of the "new and improved" front end of the new Ford Econoline vans... Whoever thought up that "facelift" was almost certainly a former GM designer.

That looks like a 330 hp late model M3.

-Just out of curiosity, did the 18 year-old have a parent in tow when you sold him that car, or did you just take the check and hand him the title/keys?

Actually it was an early 3.0 euro dealer demo. The color was Daytonaviolett only offered on the dealer demo as I was told later.

And I spoke with the mom. I told her what her son was wanting to purchase. I told her to get him into the BMW CCA teen driving clinic. She seemed to think the decision was up to him. The kid wasn't wearing his seat belt and was ejected through the sunroof as the car was scrubbing off speed at every tumble as it shredded trees and crashed into the woods. That saved his life. He had a passenger. He was wearing his belt and the combo of the belt and passenger side air bag saved his life. I was told the car was traveling over 100 when it he dropped a tire off in the shoulder and lost it.

My son drove this car to high school everyday with out a ticket of incident. Different parents, different values.
