Sunroof Trouble

Hey guys.

Second post on the Sunroof, but I think I am getting closer to seeing the sun

Here is the progress so far:

1. Removed motor and clean and replaced switch, motor runs great.
2. Roof opens a bit, then sticks. Closes fine.
3. Pulled the cover and took a look (see attached pic), forgive my terminology (not sure what the parts are). The metal guide seems to be not catching. The cable pulleys move and travel the length of the track by the roof stays put, or if the pulley catches the metal guide, it pulls it back a few inches and then stops. It seems in my limited knowledge that the pulley is not catching the metal piece pictured.

Let me know what I am missing or if I can explain it better. I am sure one of the experts will be able to help me with the proper terminology
