Recognize this "$500" SoCal 928?

SoCal TV show is doing a segment with a OB, and car sure looks familiar to me, craigslist or something. Anybody recognize it? Or believe it sold for $500.

I'd buy that car all day long for $500.

Confusion comes from the nature of actually selling a 928, nobody is going to ask for $500 on a running driving 928, but after 6 months of asking $5000 and its still sitting in the driveway, $500 cash might work.

I paid $500.00 for a running 1982 928. Does not appear to have been wrecked. Drove home just fine. Typical weak synchros in 2nd and 3rd. Yes, it is a bit of a mongrel.......supposedly had a new clutch installed before I bought it. It is a real long story but I paid $500.00 for it. God can strike me down if I am lying. But I am not.

$500 must be the going rate for 82s. I also bought a running 82 with a rebuilt tranny & recent waterpump/timing belt for $500. It had a problem with a bad throwout bearing... it was drivable, barely. The brakes were gone (metal on metal), the tires were shot, the ball joints were toast, the paint is shot and the interior is dried out. What do you expect for $500.

I've been tempted a couple times by cars I was pretty sure $500 might buy, but so far I have been lucky and not made the offer. My $2000 car will drive me to the poorhouse just as fast.
